I don’t understand what the big push is to get pregnant at such an early age, and whatever happened to being married first. I know this is a touchy subject for some but I think it really should be addressed. We have a daughter who just had a baby and it’s a great thing that we are grandparents but let’s be honest, this really should have happened differently. This is almost as shocking as bad credit consolidation loans that rip people off with high interest rates at times.  We don’t say that to her, what’s done is done, but we’ve noticed a lot of her friends or people her age are having children young also, and many of them are not in a relationship or looking to get married any time soon. I wish they would just understand how much of a huge responsibility this is to raise a child especially on their own at such a young age before even graduating high school. Things are a lot different than they used to be that’s for sure.

Really?

Pole dancing has got to be the most offensive past time I can think of.  No matter how toned down people try to make it.  Almost as offensive as watching those credit card settlement commercials.  I couldn’t believe that someone out there actually thought they could make pole dancing tasteful by making it out to be a workout tool.  My goodness, I almost laughed myself off of the couch.  Are you kidding me?  I thought it was actually fake at first.  Nope, it was very real, get this, they will even ship it to your house and apparently you just set it up somewhere in your home, living room etc and off you go.  What is coming next?

Lunch Break

Why does there have to be so many wacky things out there?  Wacky scholarships….wacky names…..wacky jobs ….wacky faces

…..wacky, wacky, wacky…..  I don’t understand it.  I was just surfing the internet during a lunch break today, trying to kill time and I saw this wacky stuff.  I think an hour lunch break is wayyyy too long, although, I’ve had 30 minute lunches which don’t seem long enough.  You hardly have time to eat anything, by the time you go get your food, it’s time to go back.  Yet, having an hour, you can’t find the time to kill, you get bored.  That’s how I found myself just searching the internet, killing time.  Maybe on my next lunch, I should just take a nap.

Try and try again…

There are signs it’s time to move on from a relationship, whether you want or not. You might be one of those firm believers who want to try again, but sometimes it is not worth. There are some signs that show it is time for both of you to move on from the relationship.

One partner doesn’t want it to work- you are not the only one in the relation. So, you cannot expect to put all the efforts. Both of you must put in efforts to keep it alive. But when one of the partners is not willing, there is a strong sign that it is time to move on.  I think I should have gotten a clue when I met this person on a weird scholarships forum?

You find yourself looking for someone else- this doesn’t mean that you are drooling over other girls or guys. It simply means that you love to imagine yourself with another person. This is not a good sign of a healthy relationship and you know you must move on.

You have lost all interest- you don’t feel connected and don’t have the spark in you. Try to find out if there is a way to rekindle the lost spark. If you don’t find it, it is a strong sign that you must move on from the relationship.

I am so very excited I could scream!  I am going on a dolphin trip!  I have always seen dolphins in the ocean, or on t.v. but I’ve never been close enough to touch one, let alone swim with one.  I am finally taking a vacation, well deserved after my tough year at school.  I’m not ungrateful though, I was able to get a scholarship through a no essay scholarships site.  That was a blessing on its own not having to write an essay just to get a scholarship.  I am going on my trip tomorrow and I am so excited.  My sister and I are going and we’ll hopefully make this a yearly trip.  This is definitely a new experience for me.

I am so very bored right now with my studying, ugghh.  I am digging my nose into my anatomy and physiology study guide, trying to stay focused, lol.  So, in the middle of my boredom, here’s what I found in a magazine.  I saw a picture of a monkey dressed up in clothing!  Wow…I’m not sure what else to say about that.  I wonder how long it took to dress him up, ha!  Is he even comfortable in  the overalls he’s wearing?  Would he rather not wear anything at all?  I really need to get my studying over with and get to the beach!

Fearless

Have you noticed that you get more “afraid” of things as you get older?  It’s crazy, but true for some reason.  I remember when I was younger, I didn’t have any fear at all, I could pick up lizards without squirming, bait a hook when we’d go fishing, and skate at speeds that seemed like about 100 miles per hour!  Nowadays…I don’t think so….why is that?  Just a thought that went through my head today as I go over my life.  Maybe this is one of the mysteries I can learn when i’m in school.  Yes, at my age, i’m going back!  Why not?  I’m looking into some scholarships for women over 40.  Yep, that’s my age, and proud of it!  I’m hoping to overcome some of my fears and get back to my fearless self when I was younger!

Yoga Right

Welcome to my yoga clothing closet. Some of these yoga outfits were purchased at local flea markets while others were passed down from my mother and aunt. I love the free flowing look of yoga clothing and when combined with 60s and 70s music, I have a great combination. Today I’m sorting through the clothes to determine what I’ll wear today since I’m headed to an outdoor book fair at the park and it will be close to 96 degrees.

I’m thinking about wearing my favorite blue and white Yoga maxi skirt with a white camisole, blue hoop earrings and two white bangles for the wrist along with my wooden flip flops. This is what I wore to my no essay scholarships meeting..lol

I’m really stumped because I also like this hot pink maxi dress with brown stripes in it. This dress is made of cotton so I’ll feel cool in it, and I have some wooden earrings that go well with it. Well, I think I’ll wear the blue skirt and white camisole today.

What I find interesting

Do you ever find it interesting that we are 99% the same as chimpanzees? 99% of our DNA is exactly the same as theirs. And yet when we stand next to them, all we can see are differences. Between humans there is even less of a differece. We are approximately 99.9% similar in everything. But look at the range of diferences that we go through. If we were being classified the way that we classify animals, based on visible characteristics, we could never call a person from Malaysia part of the same species as someone from Spain, or South Africa. But we are. 0.01% is not enough difference to constitute a different species. So why do we insist on fighting amongst ourselves like we are? Just because a persons race, religion, or creed is different than ours, we feel the need to segregate? We are more similar than we are different, and we need to remember that. In fact, I hope to be able to get scholarships for women over 40 so I can finally major in art like I have wanted to for many years

My Turtle and I.

Did you know that there is a eucalypt species called eucalyptus deglupta which have a coloured trunk? Looks like someone painted it with water-colour! Unluckily it can only be grown in tropical climates.

I’ve been interested in carnivorous plants too, but it’s really hard to grown one, but who wouldn’t like a plant that eats spiders? If my home had a bigger backyard i would make a garden full of unusual species.

Well, apart from the naturalist part, my day was pretty normal. I spent a lot of time with my family and i finished my work about symbolist poetry – i really like Rimbaud. I did spend some time with my cat Tom too.

Oh yes, i almost forgot, i broke another cup today, but this time it almost hit my turtle’s head. Maybe she could shrink her head just in time anyway. But i really should be more careful with these things, i broke 3 cups just this week!

Later, I am going to see if I can get consolidation loans for people with bad credit. I think my turtle has better credit me than me! LOL

I must go now, see you tomorrow.
